Behavior Approach

At Bloom Prep, we focus on consistently reinforcing positive behaviors through songs, call-backs, and an abundance of positive reinforcement, based on B.F. Skinner’s theory. This approach helps students build confidence, self-regulation, and social-emotional skills, all without the need for punishments. Children thrive as they learn social boundaries, problem-solving skills, and gain the assurance that they are supported and capable.

Curriculum Foundations

Our structured, academic-focused curriculum prioritizes early literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking, using teacher-led, goal-oriented activities and a consistent routine to build a strong foundation for kindergarten readiness. Through theme-based instruction, hands-on learning, interactive manipulatives, and individualized attention, we foster early learning excellence, growth mindset, and well-rounded development in every child.

Academic Focus

Our Academic Hour is the heart of Bloom Prep—where real learning happens through engaging circle time, songs, games, and hands-on activities that build a strong foundation. We prioritize early literacy mastery, phonemic awareness, sophisticated vocabulary, numeracy & counting, conceptual math, and STEM, helping children understand the "why" behind concepts. Through evidence-based, integrated learning, we build critical thinking, problem-solving, growth mindset, and kindergarten readiness.

Themed Focus

Our Themed Hour brings the world to life with hands-on exploration and theme-based instruction—from dinosaurs and farms to weather and more. Using STEM foundations, science experiments, dramatic play, and guided arts and crafts, children build creativity, fine motor skills, and critical thinking. Following a child-centered, inquiry-based approach, students investigate, discover, and leave each day proud of their own creations.

Fitness Fun Focus

Every day, students get moving in our dedicated gym space, letting out wiggles while building strength, coordination, and confidence. They enjoy weekly tumbling and a sports rotation including soccer, basketball, karate, T-ball, and the rock wall. Fun Fridays for 4–5-year-olds add extra excitement with music, cooking, dance, theater, and outdoor exploration.

Celebration Time

Our special events bring families together and celebrate student learning in fun, memorable ways. From Christmas programs and pajama parties to Mom-and-Me teas, Halloween carnivals, and Father-and-Child fishing, there’s always something exciting. These experiences create lasting memories while highlighting the Bloom Prep difference in early childhood education.
